Steam Punk Goggles
Okay, I saw a pith with "brass" goggles online and I wanted to make my own pair. So I ordered an $8 USD pair of welding goggles (plastic frames). When they arrived I washed the surface of the plastic with soapy water and let dry. I then base coated with metalic gold spray paint and let dry. I then protected with Rustoleum clear coat and let dry. The goggles have clear and green lenses and I decided to leave in the dark shades. My wife was outside talking on the phone with her morning coffee so I don't even think she realized I placed the pith on her head in order to take some photos. This will be on my head at Historicon '07 so you know who that 6' 4" dude is. Enjoy!
